Also known as Seven Up, All Fours is an addictive point-trick card game where players compete for points in several rounds, tallying up for the overall championship.

When the dealer turns up the Trump suite in each round, you must develop your strategy to vie for Game points, or fish out and hang your opponents Jack. Trump cards are the key. You can also accumulate points for playing High Trump, Low Trump, and turning up key cards as the dealer.

You can play against 3 other computer players in Single mode or battle an opponent in the Multi Player mode via Bonjour.

This game seems to have originated in the UK, where it is still very popular in pubs. The 4 player-team version has also become the unofficial national card game of Trinidad and Tobago.

Pros and cons of AllFours app for iPhone and iPad

AllFours app good for

I am a big fan of Hearts and Spades card games, and this little game caught my attention since it was from candycane, and I am a complete Fuzzle addict. It took me a bit to understand the rules, but after playing it a bit was pretty easy to get into it. I love the gameplay used to select the cards, its awesome, its like have a real deck in your hand! I hope they release other popular card games! Keep up the go work candy!
Although rules were a bit complex for me at first, this game is very nicely done. The multiplayer option is real great time to kill some time with a friend. I love the graphics! Looking forward for some other card titles from the developer(s).
As a Trinidadian Ive gotta say the developer is correct when they say its like our national game. The game seems accurate after playing the single player mode. I couldnt get anyone to connect on the Multiplayer mode so havent been able to test that yet. I hope you can play against/with people all over the world. If so Ill change the rating to 5
I grew up playing All-Fours as a proud Trini, and I was so happy just to find this application but I was so pleased to see how very well it was created. If only there was a way to enjoy the loud fun that comes with the crazy signals my family uses when we play as partners against each other in person. The application is great to help me when Im homesick until I can get back home to Trinidad for the real thing.
A couple items would make this 5 stars, and hopefully a patch to include them might be released? * Clearer, cleaner motion for card selection from hand to play. I find myself at times accidentally sending the wrong card into play from my hand because of the angled arrangement of the cards and no clear indication of the correct way to move them into play. Either provide a visual for the player to trace their finger over to ensure the right card goes into play, or create a clearer way to select a specific card and send it into play without the risk of sending the wrong card as is sometimes a problem especially for cards toward the edges of your hand of cards. * A summary screen after each round that shows which player(s) had High, Low, Jack, and Game for that round, so that it is more clear how the scores are being added up. * An end-of-game summary screen that shows the total Highs, Lows, Jacks, and Games for each player and how their score added up. The app is overall very good, it just moves through everything a bit too quickly without enough data/feedback to the players who want to fully grasp who won what parts of the scoring and how the scores added up. It would also be helpful to have a better motion for moving a card from hand to play to ensure against accidentally playing the wrong card, which can completely ruin a round for the player.
Great game, but I wish there were partners and 4-person multiplayer......

Some bad moments

Great to see an all fours game on iPhone but there is no team/partnership mode. You must play single.
Single player. Your computer opponents treat the Jack of trumps like any face card. Easy to hang, whereas one should protect or play so as to to get hung. Tens are also treated like another card instead of knowing that ten is ten points for game. Plus, when one cross trumps, one is to play original suit unless you are out. Finally, when a player gets 14, the game says who won but doesnt show score. All fours is not a single player game, but a team game. 2 against 2. Cheers.
I know this game inside out - i grew up playing all fours. The game has a bug or something. It sometimes does not award the dealer points for kicking 6, A or J. And, im winning cards for game that i shouldnt - and losing cards for game that i should win. At least it consistently remembers what suit is trump... So this only happens when all players play non- trump suits - the game doesnt know who to give the cards to.
Crashes a lot in multiplayer mode...and how about being able to play with others that are not close to you in proximity!!!
The game crashes every time I try to play on Single Mode. The screen freezes!!!
